Relationships: From Crisis to Connection
Relationships are complex, living systems that require attention, curiosity, and care. While many seek support during a crisis, relationship counselling is also a powerful tool for couples who wish to enhance their connection, navigate life transitions, and build a more resilient partnership.
I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the complexities of modern intimacy, helping you move from conflict to collaboration.
All relationship dynamics are welcome!
Scope of practice includes:
-
Navigating Incompatibilities:
Bridging the gap between differing communication styles, values (sobriety, religion, politics, social media, finances, parenting), or
intimacy needs.
-
Life-Changing Events:
Supporting partners through the emotional and physical impact of chronic illness, injury, grief, or career shifts.
-
Pregnancy & Parenting:
Managing the profound identity shift and relational changes that occur when transitioning into or through parenthood.
-
Infidelity & Trust Recovery:
Navigating the painful aftermath of a breach of trust and exploring if and how path toward healing and rebuilding is possible.
-
Premarital Counselling:
Building a strong foundation by discussing future expectations, conflict resolution, and shared goals before making a long-term
commitment.
-
Divorce & Separation Counselling:
Facilitating a conscious, respectful ending to a relationship, with a focus on emotional regulation and, where applicable, healthy
co-parenting.
-
Exploring Alternative Lifestyles:
Providing an inclusive space to navigate curiosity around polyamoury, kink, or diverse pleasure preferences with honesty and clear
boundaries.
A Note on Safety and Abuse
Relationship therapy is a collaborative process that requires a foundation of physical and emotional safety. Relationship therapy is not effective or appropriate for relationships involving abusive behavior or domestic violence. However, if you are currently experiencing abuse, you do not have to navigate this alone. While I do not offer joint therapy for these dynamics, I can provide individual, confidential support to help you:
-
connect with specialized advocacy teams and domestic violence support organizations.
-
connect you with legal resources to understand your rights and protections.
If you are in immediate danger or fear for your safety, you need to contact the nearest police station or private security company.
