Established as a legal entity in 2005, the CSHP aims to ensure high standards of practice and ethics among its members. It holds its professionals accountable to a code of conduct and provides continuous professional development (CPD).
The CSHP's core mission is to act in the public interest by enhancing sexual health and well-being for all.
The CSHP is structured with various membership categories based on qualifications, from professional sexologists and therapists to students and associates.
By collaborating with international organizations like the WHO and UNESCO, the CSHP works to ensure that the standards of sexual health in South Africa are recognized globally.
